T-HT Croatia selects Scientific Atlanta IP set-tops for IPTV services rollout |

May 4, 2007 - Scientific Atlanta’s Model IPP330HD IP set-tops have been selected by T-HT Croatia for IPTV service rollout.
T-HT Croatia claims to be deploying these set-tops in order to advance its service offering; including high-definition television (HDTV).
According to Scientific Atlanta, its IP set-tops integrate MPEG-4/H.264 and MPEG-2 compression capabilities, claiming to provide a flexible, powerful IP set-top platform. T-HT’s IPTV services delivery network incorporates Cisco 12000 Series Routers and Cisco Catalyst 6500 Series Switches.
“In today’s rapidly changing video delivery environment, flexibility and rapid time to market are key components in T-HT Croatia’s business strategy,” said Vedran Perišić, IPTV product manager at T-HT Croatia. “Cisco and Scientific Atlanta, with its extensive heritage of creating advanced-feature set-tops, were able to meet our very aggressive schedule, to deliver a set-top that supported our network environment, and to provide us with the type of versatile IPTV platform we needed for future expansion of our customer base.”
