 A well respected industry veteran, author and popular speaker, Mr. Dureau launched his distinguished engineering career in 1984 with Thomson Consumer Electronic's (TCE) research department in Paris, France. He later joined Thomson's research lab in Los Angeles, California. He then went on to found OpenTV, a provider of software solutions for PayTV operators. Since 1987, Mr. Dureau has led numerous technical developments in the field of multimedia, consumer user interfaces, video compression, interactive television and television advertising. He is active in several industry groups.
A native of France, Mr. Dureau holds M.S. degrees from Universite Paris VII in Applied Mathematics and Ecole Nationale Superieure des Telecommunications in Computer Science."
