Torkel Thoresen had been with Telenor Satellite Broadcasting for nine years and in this time has played a huge role in researching and implementing new technologies to improve the company's services. He has been responsible for the design of the main headend and regional headends in the Norwegian DTT network.Before joining Telenor he worked for the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation where he was involved in the planning of 1994 Olympics in Lillehammer and regionalisation of the NRK news broadcasting operation in 1996. Mr Thoresen holds a Cand.Mag. (Bachelor of Science) degree from the Oslo College of Engineering and the University of Oslo.
